Sandra is a Director on the Digital Health & Data Services team at Boston Scientific, responsible for the enablement of Digital Health Studio product teams that incorporate innovative, user centric, and lean startup principles and practices to generate high-value and high-quality digital healthcare solutions. Sandra also leads the implementation and strategy of the Digital Health Platform and Services.
Prior to joining the Digital Health & Data Services team, Sandra supported medical device development in cardiovascular, endoscopy, urology, women's health, and other therapeutics areas, helped grow innovation practices at Boston Scientific, established herself as an intrapreneur in the company and the medical device industry, and contributed to the company's growth as a strategist in multiple areas including digital health, sensors, data analytics, imaging, diagnostics, and regenerative medicine.
Sandra is a native of Slovenia and holds a BS in Chemistry from Univerza v Ljubljani, Slovenia, an MS in Chemistry from Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tufts University. Sandra is a past winner of multiple awards including the Boston Scientific CEO Winning Spirit Award, the John Abele Science & Technology Award, and three Boston Scientific Innovation Fund awards. Sandra has authored 26 patents and patent applications.
