Dr. Grant Schaffner has extensive experience with medical device development. His career has spanned multiple industries and he is able to bring this broad experience to bear in solving engineering challenges. He has worked for multiple aerospace and defense companies and also worked at the NASA Johnson Space Center for seven years. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at the University of Cincinnati from 2009 to 2015. Dr. Schaffner served eight years with the US Army in Special Forces, Medical Service Corps and Civil Affairs. He is currently a Staff Consultant at Stress Engineering Services in Mason, Ohio. Dr. Schaffner completed BS and MS degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT in 1989 and 1994, respectively. In 2000 he completed a Ph.D. in Medical Engineering in the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
