Alex Stone is an anesthesiology resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. During the initial COVID-19 pandemic, he served in the COVID intensive care unit taking care of critically ill patients. In March of 2020, he helped found MasksOn.Org with his co-resident Jacqueline Boehme, Sanjay Vakil, and Eugene Mann. MaskOn.org procures full face snorkel equipment, adapts it into emergency use authorized face shield kits, and donates these kits directly to healthcare providers in need. MasksOn.org has donated more than 20,000 kits to providers in all 50 states.
Alex completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of medicine, and grew up in the Boston area.
